With 300 acres devoted to golf Silver Lake Country
Club is one of the finest golf facilities in the
Chicagoland area. The facility includes two
championship 18 - hole courses and one 9- hole
executive course - challenging golfers of all skill levels.
Our North Course was built in 1927 as a private club
called Euclid Hills. The South Course was developed in
1929 on an adjacent farm as a daily fee 18- hole course
called Silver Lake Golf Club. The Coghill family
purchased both courses in 1940 and renamed them as
they are today. In 1962, Rolling Hills was built as an
executive 9 -hole course increasing the complex to its
current configuration of 45 holes.

Over the years many changes have occurred. These include rebuilding and
elevating all the tees and greens. A state-of-the-art computerized irrigation system was recently installed
to insure our tees, greens and fairways are always in perfect condition. We've also created over 30
beautiful flower gardens, which are strategically located throughout the grounds that are visually
stunning. Newly built cart paths allow golf on days when the weather doesn't want to cooperate. Silver
Lake has also embarked on a continuous tree planting program, planting thousands of trees over the past
25 years. These improvements not only enhance the golf experience, they have contributed to Silver
Lake being certified by the National Audubon Society and being awarded "Best of Environmental Golf" award.
